😱 Vacation Week is here! Isn’t that specTACOlar? 🌮

You will have plenty of opportunities to cook dinner next week so why not grab some takeout on your way home tonight? For our Takeout Friday today, we are highlighting another teacher’s favorite spot in Chelsea – El Potro Mexican Grill. Located at the Mystic Mall (HomeGoods and Market Basket), El Potro Mexican Grill offers authentic Mexican and Central American cuisine with a really comprehensive menu. With good size portions, a great atmosphere, and cocktails to go, El Potro will not disappoint.

Pro tip: Save room for their decadent fried ice cream and…

iReady Assessment

iReady Assessment make-ups must be completed this week. Let’s get those last few kids across the finish line. We are at 96% complete in reading and 95% in math. Please utilize Rainbow Block, Read to Grow or Community Time. Or, coordinate with MLE teachers, SPED teachers and paras to take small groups.

If you still need help making a plan, please reach out to a coach.

iReady Challenge

iReady goal is complete. Woohoo! I will share some positive data at the staff meeting on Tuesday.

😋 TAKEOUT FRIDAY 🌮

It’s TAKEOUT FRIDAY!

Come join the Soko Happy Hour and grab some authentic Mexican food to go on your way out.

We will be meeting at 3:30pm at Los Agaves Restaurant – located just a few blocks away on Broadway. Los Agaves was previously highlighted in October so this is the perfect opportunity for those who have not had a chance to check them out. What better way to end the week than grabbing a drink – or soda water –  while supporting another Chelsea small business? Check out their menu HERE and choose the take-out dinner that matches your Friday night mood. Don’t know what to order? Their Instagram is a great place for inspiration.

READ TO GROW DATA MEETINGS

Next week’s PLTs will be data meetings to look at DIBELS data and Read to Grow groupings.

Here is what you can expect:

I will use data to make initial groupings.

The Reading Team will look at the initial groupings on Monday and give their input based on students they work with in the classroom or intervention groups. I will get out these groupings to you ahead of your PLT day.

At your grade level PLT,  teachers will give their input based on what they are seeing in the classroom. This is great time to bring in other data such as iReady, Fluency Checks (Grades 1-3), and classwork.

New groups will (hopefully) be ready to go on 2/27.
